Thanks so much for your inquiry and your support. We spent over a year to find the best possible spot, in not just Sedona but all of the southwest. My dream was to provide an adventure for the majority of people with the best possible experience while minimizing the risk. What we specialize in is self guided tours.
We believe being the best rated activity in Sedona since 2020 (please see our google reviews) proves that we are doing some things right. What that looks like and what to expect, is as follows. We draw you up a map of the areas of interest. And generally that means the “Scenic Parkway/ 179”. We take your group out back with the bikes and make sure that your group is oriented and comfortable with the controls. Then we guide the group down the easiest route to 179.
That way you know the easy way to get back on your return. Then we leave you on the “multi-use pathway” built by the state and designed to allow bicycles to enjoy the views and avoid the cars.
This path leads to Chapel of the Holy Cross and further down to Cathedral Rock (one of the main vortexes and super hard to get by car and to find parking). Past Cathedral the directions lead you to a bike lane. Typically traffic dissipates this far south of Sedona, and I highly recommend heading down as it is the most beautiful piece of road that I have ridden anywhere. At the end there is a convenience store and a couple of great lunch options.
At that point you can visit Bell Rock (again a vortex with a terrible parking issue). If you feel adventurous we recommend heading about five miles west to see the back side of Cathedral and spend a few minutes at the creek. What I say for the average person is this experience is 2.5 hours of riding and two hours of getting off of the bikes and visiting spots that are problematic to get with a car (parking issues).
Probably the best point of reference is to read our reviews on google and see if our past customers experience fits what works for your group. As long as people are comfortable and capable on a regular bicycle, this experience should just be easier and more relaxing for the average group.
